De Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine is een nationale academische organisatie, opgericht in 1983 met goedkeuring van het Ministerie van Volksgezondheid en geregistreerd bij het Ministerie van Burgerzaken.Het werd lid van de China Association for Science and Technology in 1987, de International Association of Rehabilitation Medicine in hetzelfde jaar en de International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine in 2001. Het instituut is gevestigd in het China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Peking.
